Signature Pressed Poppy Hat (100% Repurposed Cashmere) Pick a Color

My Signature Flower Hat is made from oh-so-soft 100% Repurposed Cashmere.

This design was inspired by a photo of a pressed poppy I clipped from a magazine years ago.

Each hat is handmade from 100% cashmere sweaters that I've rescued from thrift stores.

Each applique is individually cut by hand (by me). The flower is constructed from three shades of the same color (red, purple, turquoise, etc.), layered to give the effect of a three dimensional flower, pressed flat. I then sew each individual layer using the freemotion technique (trying hard not to sew into my fingers), which allows me to make the individual sew-lines (which are part of the design) look flow-y and organic. I then add a coordinating or contrasting stem and a BIG, expressive leaf!

All these different parts make the hats very versatile. You can change which parts of the flower are showing in front (which shifts the colors that frame your face) to totally change up the look of the hat and how it looks on you. Over the years, I've found these hats look great on just about everyone.

Each hat is individually hand made (by me), so each is unique. Please expect variations in the artistry.
